All skill levels are welcome. We specialize in working with people who have ZERO experience in the things we train.
- FREE Youth Warrior Training Signup Form - 3 Weeks Series - Saturday, Sept 13, 20, and 27 at 7PM at Rogers Civic Center
A 3-week course that teaches youth (6th grade and up) practical self-defense, awareness, and emotional control. They’ll learn how to manage fear and anger, set strong boundaries, de-escalate conflict, and—only as a last resort—use simple strikes and escapes to get to safety. The focus is on confidence, resilience, and making smart choices, not fighting.

Training a Strong Body and Steady Mind
It's more than the confidence that comes from being able to defend yourself. It's more than learning to be in control of your body. It's more than finding your balance and power.
It's training for your best life.
What We're Training
-
Strength. Safety. Presence.
Build physical capability, gain practical self-defense skills, and cultivate moment-to-moment awareness.
-
Balance and Confidence in Motion.
Learn to carry yourself with steady poise: Physically balanced, emotionally centered, and confident in your capacity to meet whatever comes.
-
Mind–Body Integration.
Every drill is more than exercise. It’s a chance to practice presence: noticing your breath, your feelings, your sensations, and then choosing your response.
-
A Forge for Everyday Warriors.
This isn't about bravado. It's really not even about fighting. It's about walking into a job interview, staying calm in a tough conversation, or facing unexpected chaos. You'll train your body to be respond, not react; and your mind's ability to stay centered.
Why It Works
-
Conditioning with Purpose.
You're not just pushing out yet another rep. You're training for real-life resilience. This gives fitness purpose.
-
Confidence You Can Carry.
True confidence comes from knowing you can respond with balance and clarity, whether in movement, conflict, or stress.
-
Real Tools for Real Life.
From basic self-defense to awareness practices that help you manage emotion, chaos, and focus—it's practical and rooted in presence.
-
Scientifically Grounded, Not Esoteric.
This is evidence-based, accessible, and presented simply. It's not mystical.
How We Train
-
Combatives for Balance and Power
Striking isn't just about hitting. It teaches balance, timing, and controlled power. Each punch, elbow, or knee sharpens your coordination and grounds you in your body. Dodging teaches you to stay calm under pressure, to move with precision instead of flinching.
-
Training the Automatic Mind
In the chaos of life, you don't always get time to think. That's why we train reflexes. Repeated practice conditions your body and mind to respond automatically when you're caught off guard so you're steadier, faster, calmer, and more ready.
-
Control Under Pressure
Real strength isn't just muscle. It's the ability to master yourself when stress rises. Through drills that challenge both your body and focus, you'll learn to control your reactions, steady your breath, and keep clarity when it matters most.
-
Efficiency as Mastery
We train with the principle slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Learning to move efficiently — without wasted motion — translates to life outside the mat. Efficiency teaches mastery: to direct energy where it matters, conserve it where it doesn't, and face challenges with clarity instead of chaos.
-
Confidence Through Capability
Every strike landed, every dodge timed, every reflex sharpened builds a quiet confidence. You'll leave knowing not only that you can defend yourself, but that you can trust yourself — your body, your mind, and your presence.
What Equipment do I need?
For each training session, you should bring or wear:
- Normal workout clothes. Generally, they should be fairly tight-fitting. If it's too baggy, it will get in the way.
- Tennis shoes and socks. Not crocks.
- Water. Lots of water...
In the introductory classes, we have equipment for you. We'll provide 4oz MMA gloves and punching pads.
What Should I expect in a Training Session?
A typical training session:
- Center. This is getting your mindset in the moment and ready to train.
- Warm Up. Basic calisthenics to start to get blood flowing and heart rate up.
- Stretch. Work on range of motion and recite self-defense principles.
- Learn Technique. We work on various combative techniques, such as striking with punches, elbows, and knees; breaking people's grip; defense against weapons; etc.
- Practice the Technique. We pair up and practice the movements with a partner.
- Combos. We'll practice established combos and, where possible, work in the technique to the overall flow.
- Wrap Up. We'll come together and finish the class.
Training sessions start on time, and everyone is expected to arrive earlier than the start. Training sessions last exactly 1 hour.
